Welcome to the Ashburton Digital Archive
This website has been established to provide open digital access to the Memorial Inscriptions (MIs) for St.Andrews Churchyard, Ashburton. We hope that this material will benefit 'Local' researchers and also Family Historians around the world.
Since 2021, there have been information panels strategically placed in the churchyard to advertise this website and to provide a 'QR code' link to the website.
The original MI records, upon which these website records are based, were created through a series of surveys undertaken by local people between 1973 and 1981. Printed copies of the original paper based records, produced by Pete Webb, are available at the Information Centre and St Andrew's Church.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our evolving website of St.Andrews Memorial Inscriptions.
Note: The current digitising team would like to thank the Ashburton History Museum Trustees for giving their permission for this project team to use their original set of survey records for the digitisation process. The original survey documents can be viewed on request at the Ashburton History Museum during normal opening hours, May through September each year.
